Mission & Vision

Suffragan Bishop David E. Johnson has been recognized as a servant and passionate leader in our community as well as intentional. He has a passion for studying, preaching, and teaching the word of God. His love for God's people and desire to win the lost while strengthening the saints of God, both locally and abroad, can be seen throughout his life as well as his ministry. Bishop Johnson is the founder and privileged Shepherd of Grace Apostolic Church in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Grace Apostolic Church’s aim is to cultivate an environment that fosters spiritual growth and excellence.  

As a servant-leader, Bishop Johnson understands the importance of edifying souls with proper spiritual and natural education. Bishop Johnson has studied at Aenon Bible College, Bethel University, and Minnesota Graduate School of Theology and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. In conjunction with his leadership capabilities, he is the founder of both nonprofit and for-profit organizations: Owner of A Touch of Grace Barbershop and Founder/C.E.O. of Mind the G.A.P.P., Inc. which creates pathways for individuals to close the gap to prosperity.

Bishop Johnson’s vigor for winning the lost at any cost while helping souls transition from sin to salvation is exemplified as he humbly serves in multiple capacities locally and internationally. He serves in the following capacities: Chairman of the Minnesota Wisconsin Dakotas District Council under the leadership of Diocesan Bishop Richard D. Howell, Jr.; Board Member of the International Missions Department of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (P.A.W., Inc.); Suffragan Bishop in the Puerto Rico District Council of the P.A.W., Inc.; Board Member of Stair Step Foundation; Board Member of Minnesota Council of Churches Nominations Committee

Bishop Johnson is married to the Elect Lady Tesa F. Johnson who stands with him as his wife and mother to their 5 children who all have their hands in the ministry winning souls for the Kingdom of God. 

First Lady Tesa F. Johnson was baptized and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at the tender age of 12. She has served God's people in a multitude of ways on the local, regional, and international level; from usher to Sunday School teacher to praise and worship leader. Lady Johnson has been anointed to teach, train, sing, and direct several music ministries affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

In November of 1996, Lady Johnson was united in holy matrimony to Bishop David E. Johnson. From this union came 5 beautiful children; Chandler, Natalie, Jonathan, Jeremiah, and Yoshua. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Human Services with a Minor in Educational Psychology. Additionally, she secured her Master's Degree in Education from Capella University in 2013.

In January of 2017, she was elevated to Executive Pastor of Grace Apostolic Church and continues to operate as the Chief Program Officer. Kingdom business has become one of her many gifts in edifying the body of Christ. The Lord has blessed her with a passion for coffee, music, and training up today's youth-- specifically our young ladies. She is the #1 encourager in making sure God has your "Yes!"
